Rutgers Gameday is presented by Bane, New Jersey's Scariest Haunted House Located in Livingston, N J. QB Greg Hankerson A junior transfer from Florida Atlantic who has started against Alabama and Rice, Hankerson brings big-game experience to an offense that needs it. RB Gerard Johnson a junior transfer from Old Dominion, the 5-foot-9, 200-pound Johnson is a bruiser who hopes to lend balance to NSU’s West Coast offense. He averaged 4.9 yards on his 100 carries last season for the Monarchs and 6.5 per carry as a freshman. OLB Rodney Smith. Smith, a 6-3, 235-pound junior who transferred from Louisiana Lafayette before last season, apprenticed for a year under FCS All-American OLB Lynden Trail and hopes to replace at least some of Trail’s production. ILB Deon King a first-team All-MEAC performer last season, the 6-1, 235-pound King was second on the team and fourth in the MEAC with 106 tackles. He tied for second in the league with 18 tackles for loss, and he’s already drawing the attention of NFL scouts. WR DeAndre Sangster now recovered from a broken leg that cost him all of last season, the 6-2, 180-pound Sangster will look to snag more than a few passes from Hankerson. The Woodbridge native caught 18 passes for 289 yards and two touchdowns as a sophomore in 2013.
