Rutgers Gameday is presented by Bane, New Jersey's Scariest Haunted House Located in Livingston, N J. QB Greg Hankerson A junior transfer from Florida Atlantic who has started against Alabama and Rice, Hankerson brings big-game experience to an offense that needs it. RB Gerard Johnson a junior transfer from Old Dominion, the 5-foot-9, 200-pound Johnson is a bruiser who hopes to lend balance to NSU’s West Coast offense. He averaged 4.9 yards on his 100 carries last season for the Monarchs and 6.5 per carry as a freshman. OLB Rodney Smith. Smith, a 6-3, 235-pound junior who transferred from Louisiana Lafayette before last season, apprenticed for a year under FCS All-American OLB Lynden Trail and hopes to replace at least some of Trail’s production. ILB Deon King a first-team All-MEAC performer last season, the 6-1, 235-pound King was second on the team and fourth in the MEAC with 106 tackles. He tied for second in the league with 18 tackles for loss, and he’s already drawing the attention of NFL scouts. WR DeAndre Sangster now recovered from a broken leg that cost him all of last season, the 6-2, 180-pound Sangster will look to snag more than a few passes from Hankerson. The Woodbridge native caught 18 passes for 289 yards and two touchdowns as a sophomore in 2013.

Parking spaces are on a first come first serve basis and will open at 5:30 pm with the Fanfest activities that are planned around the Stadium. Following Kickoff, there will be a Fireworks show followed by Player Autographs. Coach Fraser App is presented by the Coaches Network App powered with Speed by Chuck Mound broadcasting live on the LB Coach App. Bob Fraser is in his third tenure at Rutgers and works as the special teams coordinator and linebackers coach. He was on the coaching staff from 2006-11 in various capacities, including defensive coordinator in 2011. Fraser began his coaching career at Rutgers as a graduate assistant in 1987.
Fraser was the assistant defensive coordinator for the www.TampaBayBuccaneersApp.com Tampa Bay Buccaneers in 2013. For the first time since 2005, the Buccaneers placed two players on the Associated Press All-Pro First Team in defensive tackle Gerald McCoy and outside linebacker Lavonte David.
In 2012, Fraser coached David to an outstanding rookie campaign. He led the team in both tackles and tackles for loss, while ranking in the top 10 in the NFL in tackles and among the top five in the league in solo tackles and tackles for loss. David was named NFL Rookie of the Month for November, becoming the first Buccaneer to win the award.
During his second stint at RU, Fraser was instrumental in helping orchestrate some of Rutgers' finest defensive units. In 2011, his defense finished first in the Big East Conference in four defensive categories: total defense, scoring defense, pass defense and pass efficiency defense. It was also ranked in the top 20 nationally in total defense (14th), scoring defense (8th), pass defense (9th), pass efficiency defense (5th), sacks (15th) and tackles for loss (8th). In addition, Rutgers linebacker Khaseem Greene was named both an All-American and the first Big East Co-Defensive Player of the Year in school history.
After spending his first season with the Scarlet Knights in 2006 as assistant to the head coach, Fraser worked the 2007-08 seasons with the linebacking corps before taking on defensive coordinator duties, along with coaching linebackers, for 2009-10. In 2011, he continued his role as defensive coordinator, but moved to mentoring the Rutgers defensive line.
In his first season as a defensive coordinator in 2009, Fraser helped the Scarlet Knights to top-20 national rankings in six categories, including leading the nation in tackles for loss and ranking fourth in sacks. RU was 15th in the country in rushing defense, 16th in scoring defense and 18th in total defense.
Before joining the RU staff, Fraser served nine seasons coaching linebackers at Colgate University. During his tenure, he tutored three Patriot League Defensive Player of the Year honorees, nine All-Patriot League selections and two All-Americans.
Fraser started his coaching career as a graduate assistant at his alma mater, Allegheny College, during the 1985-86 seasons. He later served in the same role at Rutgers for the 1987-88 seasons, where he worked with Greg Schiano who was then a graduate assistant as well.
Fraser returned to Allegheny for the 1989 season in his first full-time position, spending three seasons as linebackers coach. The Gators were undefeated for two seasons, and in 1990, won the NCAA Division III National Championship.
From 1992-95, Fraser coached the defensive line at Holy Cross, and then spent the 1996 season working with offensive tackles and tight ends at Northeastern.
Fraser graduated from Allegheny in 1985 with a computer science degree. He and his wife, Cheryl, have three children - Justin, Jason and Jessica.
